There’s a wealth of research on what makes for excellent student learning - so much so that it’s daunting to open ourselves up to it all. With so much well-researched advice all claiming to be the most important thing for student learning, how can we possibly expect anyone to be confident in what advice is best to follow? And more worryingly, how can we be surprised if all this information - vastly different strategies all vying for the same, limited teacher time - results in teachers paralysed by choice?
